Hello to everyone!

I have a 1995 25hp Mariner 2 stroke that I use as a kicker motor on my 21' cuddy cabin. Went to start for the first time this year but the electric start won't work. Batteries are fully charged and all connection are good with no corrosion. The starter solonoid clicks then nothing happens. Is there a simple test to determine if the starter is bad or the starter solonoid? Thanks for any help or suggestions. Tim

Try the starter circuit troubleshooting in "outboard won't start" in the Engine FAQs Forum, Tim.

How do you know that there is no corrosion in the connections of the battery cables? If you didn't take them off and clean them do it anyway. They can look clean and be tight and still be bad for starting.
