Hello, i have recently coverted a 1995 25hp johnson from control steer to tiller steer. The kill switch i have for the handle is junk, so i installed a key start switch with electric prime and start. All is working except the stop function for the key. When i shut the switch to off, the motor continues to run. Is there a kill wire in the existing bundle of wires?

You may need to run a wire (uncertain). Here is the kill circuit wiring so that you may trace it out.

Black ground wire from powerhead ground to powerpack. Wire is internal part of pack.

Black/yellow wire from powerpack to raised boss "M" terminal of ignition switch.

Black wire from other "M" terminal of switch to ground.

Key OFF = Both "M" terminals connected (ignition disabled)

Key ON = No connection between the "M" terminals (ignition enabled)

Which one exactly is the (raised) boss M? The one with the srew in it or the one with the prong that sticks out?
Thanks in advance for the help.

A raised boss looks like a small tower.
