Hi James. Remove the water intake screen. The coupler is behind them. Takes two wrenches to remove the coupling nut. Then remove the keeper to remove the upper nut. Lower unit should drop off. And becarefull of the keeper. Little plastic dohickey will break prettey easy if it's bent to far. But....they are available from your local John/Rude dealer.
I got the new one on.I bought it new in 95.This is the first pump thats been put on it.It has between 2000 and 2200 hours.The old impeller was shedding flappers,it would have stopped pumping pretty soon. Thanks again.
No problem James....thanks for posting......and next time, don't wait so long in between impeller change outs...... <br /><br />Just as a note James, next time the rig is in the water, check the block temp at idle. Make sure it's warming up. This is to make sure the t-stat is still operational.
