two weeks ago, I flushed out the winter stuff...It ran fine. I let it go at 1200 for 15 minutes...Two weeks later, I go to the lake and it was hydrolocked. At home I pulled the plugs and had water in the back two cylinders on the right side. I also thought the rear cylinder on the left side had a slight wet look too it when I rolled it over. So, where did the water enter the chambers ? My mechanic did a compression check and all cylinders checked out fine. He didn't think I had any head gasket or freeze up problems....He ran it for an hour or so, adjusted the carb and said it really did well. He thinks I should run it.. I am somewhat skeptical.....I don't want to be marrooned somewhere...I travel 8 or 9 miles into some of our reservoirs to fish.

I have been very meticulas as to winterizing...I have done it the same for 7 years, with no problems...I bought the boat at five years old with 28 hours on it....It was not serviced in these first years...I have put 300 hours on it since I bought it. Maybe not draining it in thes first years has contributed to this issue ? The boat was in a mild climate, with no worry to freeze up.

I am thinking that I have corroded exhaust manifolds that are letting water into the chamber......

From all of the threads that I have been able to find, exhaust manifolds seem to be a problem pertaining to my issues....

Any info would help.

I am thinking that you are thinking correctly on those risers..... The material is pretty thin... it doesn't take alot of rot.
Pull the elbows and have a looks see.
