Hello, if I disconnect the oil warning module the overheat alarm would still be connected right? I tried using a heat gun to set the alarm off but it's not working. I bought a new temp sender and have it hooked up to a brand new key assembly (15000A7). Any help is appreciated.

All you should of had to do was disconect the sender for the low oil in the oil resivor. I think the overheat sender has to go thru the warning module inorder to work.

Thanks for the response. I thought the no oil/oil pump fail alarm would come on if I left the module hooked up. The wire from the temp sender jumps the module so I figured it would still be working. I took the boat for a spin today and it worked great. I'd just like to know the overheat alarm is working. Thanks, Kyle

Groundingthe sender wire should make the alarm sound if hooked to the alarm mod. and might kill the motor if the ground stays there. Could save you from burnning the motor up.

i just bought a 1992 115 hp 4 cylinder and was trying to turn the motor over to check compression and the low oil alarm was on, does the alarm being on prevent the starter motor from operating?
