1995 70forse motor questions?????????

well first off i just purchased a 1995 bayliner center console 17 footer it has a 70 forse moter on the back.it's been sitting for a year and need's service .what should i have don e to it it tryes to turn over but dosent get there i put new gas in it.i only payed 1500 for it and it has a new traler for it.i couldent pass it up the boat is in great shape.i havent herd good thing's about forse moters.thank's for the help.
