I just pulled my motor and outdrive. On the bottom right corner of the cutout on the transom, by the lowest bolt whole I have rot. The transom seems to be made of two pieces of plywood, the piece on the inside around the bolt whole is only about 1 to 2 inches of rot. The piece back behind it I can stick along screwdriver in touch the floor and go about the same sideways with screwdrivers for about 6 to 8 inches. Above seams to be solid. I need to fix this I'm not sure the best way. I think I have two options one is to use rotrid and fill the void with self mixing proxy. But this way I'm not sure if I'm getting all the rot. The second way would be to cut out with the skill saw or maybe my multitool and get new fiberglass, Marine plywood and patch. Any help would be a very much appreciated.
