I just pulled my motor and outdrive. On the bottom right corner of the cutout on the transom, by the lowest bolt whole I have rot. The transom seems to be made of two pieces of plywood, the piece on the inside around the bolt whole is only about 1 to 2 inches of rot. The piece back behind it I can stick along screwdriver in touch the floor and go about the same sideways with screwdrivers for about 6 to 8 inches. Above seams to be solid. I need to fix this I'm not sure the best way. I think I have two options one is to use rotrid and fill the void with self mixing proxy. But this way I'm not sure if I'm getting all the rot. The second way would be to cut out with the skill saw or maybe my multitool and get new fiberglass, Marine plywood and patch. Any help would be a very much appreciated.

I have a near identical boat to yours, and currently going through a complete resto. Check out the link in my signature, may help you out a little bit. Also, post pics of what your working on and help will come in the masses.

What most people will suggest is to do some exploratory drilling to check the condition of your underlying structure (stringers, bulkheads, flotation foam). If your transom is wet, there is a good chance other issues will present themself. I'm thinking our boats ar very similar, if that is the case I can help direct you to the weak spots in Celebrity's manufacturing.

The best way is to open a free photobucket account. Upload your pictures there, then one at a time copy the IMG codes directly into your post. I think you can put a max of 5 pictures in a post. Good luck.
