The plastic carb bowl on this motor has a small brass plug on the left side. Mine have started leaking.First one then the others. I tapped them in with a small punch thinking that if conical they will spread thus fix the leak. So my questions are: Will this suffice? Should I try some JB weld on the surface? Or should I order new carburater bowls? I ran the engine after my fix, the bowls do not appear to be leaking but do not want to possibly create a lean condition.

I did something similar to faztbullet....I used super glue.....but the trick is to degrease that are and brass ball completely!!....so what you use, will stick!!

it will suck if you starboard carbs are leaking....youll have to remove them probably....to do the job.

Thanks for the replies. Of course it was both port and starboard. Punched in the brass balls ran it for a while. Seems good to go. Going long this weekend chasing pelagics. At least I now know that my solution has been used before. Comfort in knowing. Thanks again.
