My newly acquired 1995 48hp Evinrude SPL vibrates at low rpm. It runs fine at high rpm. I adjusted the carb and noticed some improvement, but it's still running rough. There is a red arrow shaped object on the starboard side near the carb. Is this a timing adjuster? Might this be the solution to the vibration? Any other suggestions? <br />Thanks, Capcass

That red arrow is the manual switch for your primer solenoid and needs to be pointed towards the body of the thing it is on.Sync and link is critical on all multi carb engines but this engine even slightly out of sync can give you your syptoms. Also remember that this is a long throw twin and when it is running right still will shake and rattle.
