This engine ran fine for 5 seasons until all of a sudden, at anything over 50% throttle the engine would start to misfire. Its runs fine at lower rpm. It was fine one day, filled with fuel and next day this started, and has continued through several more tanks of fuel. Any suggestions would be helpful to repair before coming season.

Welcome to iboats. First, do not run this engine anymore until you have performed a compression test on it, and examined the condition of the existing plugs (for signs of water fouling or lean operation). Both of those problems will quickly turn a good engine into junk.

The plugs are due to be changed if they have over 80hours of operation on them.
but they can tell you a story just before the hit the trash can,so make a note of the condition of each one, and which cylinder it came from.

Drain all carb bowls and note if any water is seen. Check te tanks for water too.
If you have never done a compression test, try this link;

Compression 101

More on compression testing
