When I check the timing of the 90 hp Force engine I find that I have a few degees of jitter in the spark on all cylinders. Is this normal?
Previously I had a lot of jitter and poor timing and pulled the flywheel and found pieces of magnet from a bad flywheel magnet that came loose and self destructed.
I cleaned the remains better and also cleaned the remaining magnetic pieces from between the magnets of the replacement flywheel and down in the trigger / crankshaft well.
I also replaced a CDI trigger coil with an older factory trigger assy that seemed to give a better timing output.
Any thoughts?
By the way this flywheel had a loose magnet too that cracked an I replaced it with one from the other flywheel and epoxied it in place, making sure that I had the correct polarity.
