1995 Genesis 20' Bowrider w/4.3L Mercruiser Alpha one

Looking for some background/general info on a '95 "Genesis" boat I'm looking at. Looks well cared for but Ive had Crestliner, Sea Ray, Bayliner(all familiar brand boats) but have no knowledge about Genesis at all. How long were they made? What happened to the brand? What was the level of quality? Thanks!

over the past 50 years, there have been tens of thousands of boat manufacturers that came and gone, many with only a few boats

looking at the years of production, looks like they died in '97. either they couldnt make it, they were family owned and the principle party died, they were part of a hostile take-over, etc. who knows.
