I have a newly purchased used 130. When running open, it behind to cut out. The bulb goes soft. I'd I pump out, the boat continues to run. We have tried switching out fuel pumps, running asn external fuel tank, bypassing the water separator and still no luck. thinking of running an electric fuel pump. Any ideas? Greatly appreciated.

It is normal for the bulb to get soft when the motor is running but not collapsed. Check for a strong spark at all cylinders. Electric pump is not a good idea unless you can come up with a way for the pump to stop pumping if the motor stops running for some reason.

I had a similear issue myself. I found that my quick connection to the engine was sucking in air. I would strongly suggest following bhile's post but I would add checking your connections and fuel lines for leaks, cracks or any other potential damage. I also agree totally with NOT using an electric fuel pump. If for any reason that pump don't stop pumping when the motor stops you could be in even bigger trouble.
