ok so i purchased a stratos w a 95 johnson 200 venom.
I took to mechanic and had everything looked over and replaced what needed to be replaced. The day i got it back i put a battery in it that probably should not have gone there. I tried cranking the motor about 20 times. It ran 3 times for about 10 secs. I took boat out of water and the next day bought a cranking battery which i should have done to begin with.

The boat will not turn over at all now. Did i ruin the starter on the motor or is there something else that could be wrong?
Any help will be greatly appreciated

could be :
- neutral safety switch
- bad starter solenoid
- bad key switch
- blown fuse
- bad starter
not so hard to trouble shoot.
just get a manual

If you get a manual buy the OEM one. Stay away from Clymer or Seloc. They make good knee pads when your kneeling down working on something.

Theres a small inline fuse located (usually) next to the starter. It might be tucked behind the main harness. If its blown buy a couple for spares.
