Hello all
I have a 1995 Johnson 70 hp 2 stroke with some ignition issues. Mine is a little unique to trouble shoot because it only seems to happen when the motor is hot. I have had the engine completely shut off at WOT (no spudder) and slam me into the console. Also on my last fishing trip fished all day with no issues and went to leave, started right up, idle down a short canal to get to main canal and the motor killed(no spudder) and would not restart. Got towed in by a friend, parked the boat overnight and the next morning it started right up again. I guess my question would be how to you troubleshoot an intermittent ignition problem? Long story but I have already ruled out fuel.
