1995 Joint Venture Drive Compatible with Volvo Dual Prop Lower End?

Curiosity question... I have a 1995 OMC SX joint venture outdrive (50FAPHUE) and was wondering if it's possible to install a Volvo dual prop DP lower end. Are the Volvo drives metric threads? I know I need 7/16" nuts to RnR the OMC outdrive, so I assume the entire OMC unit has SAE threads and I suspect the answer is no.

Yes, you can use a duo prop lower end. Your drive is an HU drive no matter if it has Volvo or OMC stickers on it. They are identical drives.

Follow up question. Is the equivalent Volvo drive to the Cobra SX the Penta SX-M? Would the appropriate duo prop lower unit be from the DP-S?

DP-SM. Not sure of ratio? The model number you posted is a 5.0L Ford (302). Your SX ratio should be 1.66. Not sure is the 1.95 or less?
