Even though I want the kid's boat project out of my hair, I had a weak moment last night and picked up a can of paint for the drive. I did not do it as properly as it should be done, but it is better than what the kids would have done on their own. A couple hours later after cleaning then sanding/scotchbrighting it looks much more presentable.

Finally got around to adding a foam pad to the swim deck.... I really like it as I had slipped and fell a couple of times on the slippery starboard last summer. Bought the pad last summer on Ebay... It went on nicely and seems to be well adhered.

Hello all... it has been awhile.
The old Larson is still running great. Last summer we had a couple lake trips including a couple Trump boat rallys (lots of fun). I have been busy finishing a big motorhome rebuild project but finally dug the boat out yesterday and went to the local river with the kids. Next week we are renting a lake house again for a week with the kids/grandkids. This boat has been a great way to enjoy family time and was well worth the effort.

Awesome!
Now that you've had a couple years on that pad / flooring adhered to the swim deck, how's it holding up ? Adhesive sticking well in the sun ? When I rebuilt my Larson I gel coated my floor white, but I'm considering adding this type of foam flooring as I really like the look.

It has stuck perfectly and still looks like new.

Got the boat out for the first time this year last weekend.... Started right up and everything still works perfect. Still not a drop of water ever in my bilge. Can't believe it has been 7 years since I restored this thing. Getting the itch again and may go look at a '76 Ski Nautique that is in desperate need of a restoration.
