1995 Marada MX3

Hey guys, I’ve got a 95 Marada MX3, with a VP 5.0. Some guys tell me it’s a Ford engine and others tell me it’s a GM. The block is cracked so I’m going to have to either go with a new block and build back to what I have or swap in something else. Has anyone done anything similar to this or know what’s compatible with that boat?

If the distributor is at the back of the engine, it is a GM. If it is at the front of the engine, it is a Ford.

I would guess it's a GM engine. Why did it crack, overheat or not winterized?

The easiest way to move forward is to get a reman marine engine. I would not try to use a car or truck engine.
