Chasing a ghost in the Audio Warning Buzzer system and believe it is the water temperature switch. Mercruiser Service Manual #18, says to "use Loctite pipe sealant with Teflon on the threads". I intend to use #567 for the 400F high temperature range on a new switch. Any comments, suggestions, warnings or guidance? Thanks, Bill

Thanks for posting Bondo. I really appreciate your input. Saw where you did NOT retire and moved back to Maine. How's that beautiful Old Town Atlantis liking it up there?

Ayuh,...... I've been here 'bout 6 weeks, 'n today is the 1st day I'm gonna putter with my boats,.......

I traded some junk with the former boss for his cherry '79 Slickcraft 195SS that I'm gonna service, 'n splash, 1st,.....
It's a sweet solid hull that we pulled the 140/ MC-1 outa, 'n shoehorned in a 350/ Alpha 1 into,......
It's a corvette feelin' little water rocket, that'll be perfect for usin' on the little pond of Chemo, where the family lodge is,.....

The Atlantis will probably just sit til this fall, as in the cold season, I'll have it in my new huge heated shop to finish it up,....
The Bravo transom is in it, 'n the next step is to set the motor, 'bout 18" to 2' forward of original,.....
Got all the bits, 'n pieces, so this comin' winter should see it finally finished, 'n splashed next spring,....

The NIB Quicksilver sensor arrived and is factory-coated with thread sealant. At the price, I was expecting a coupon for a dealer's technician to install it for me.
