I have a 95' Sea Rayder F14 Mercruiser Sport Jet 120HP Jet Boat that WON'T START. I am getting fuel to both carbs, brand new spark plug wires and plugs, 150 compression in all 4 cylinders, will turn over strong but will not start.
The ground wires to the coil packs looked really dirty, so I replaced all the wires and made sure it was grounded to bare metal surface. I thought for sure that would fix it.
On the switchbox assembly, all of the wires on coming in from the stator have power when you bump the ignition, but all of the wires going to the coil packs do not light up when the ignition is bumped. The spark plugs are getting spark I do not believe enough to start the motor.
I tested the stator and resistance Ohms were about half of what the new stator specs (http://www.cdielectronics.com/InstallSheet/174-8778K 1.pdf) should be.
Do you think it is the stator? The flywheel removal tool and the stator is about $400 and I just didn't want to throw parts at her.
Any ideas on the best way to combat this issue?
Thank you for any help!
