1996 15 hp mercury no spark

No spark on either plug. I by passed the kill switch still no spark. This is a manual start tiller steer. Is it more than likely a power pack issue since both plugs are dead?

Check all your connections for corrosion... might be a grounding issue or a bad connection to a trigger coil.

When you say you bypassed the switch, did you connect the 2 ends of wire together?

No I just unplugged them. Do I need to connect them? Wouldn't that be the same as the switch being closed?
