OK just got it out of storage and the darn thing will not idle, ran and idled fine when winterized it.

It started right up then would not idle, so I replaced the plugs and cleaned the fuel filter and reservoir. Still no change, when it's running and you put it in reverse it stalls almost immediately! but you can go forward without this happening strange to me but anyhow, when you throttle up it will not come right up takes a few sec's then takes right off, run's great at above 1500 rpm's.

So I took fuel pump apart and cleaned what looked like rust almost from the clear side on fuel pump, diaphragm looked fine, but gas only comes out about 2 inches when you turn it over is this normal or should there be much more presser?

Thanks for any help as I'm a total noob to working on these motors.

Clean the ENTIRE fuel system starting at the tank, remove, soak and rebuild the carb and fuel pump.

Thanks for your response's!

OK will try to do this as I said not really a mechanic. So when you say rebuild I assume you mean with new parts not the old ones? and what do I soak these 3 carb's in? I removed them and sprayed then down with carb cleaner so far, I read that there is a carb cleaning bucket and solvent sold by NAPA is this what I should get?

And one more thing do I need to remove all the gaskets from carb's before I soak them?

Sorry for the probably dumb questions! but I'm completely new to engine repair.
