I'm a pretty competent 2 stroke guy, but this is my first 4 stroke.
Can I hook a conventional Faria tach to it? Are the "smart" gauges available for this vintage 4 stroke? I have a factory service manual on the way, but it won't get here until next Friday. It's on a 19 foot pontoon, turning an 11.4 inch 12P prop, which should be close, but I'd like to see the WOT RPM. I've been looking at the manual for a 2000 model on boatinfo.no is that at all accurate or did it change a lot in the 4 years from 1996 to 2000, the serial number is 0G333xxx?
Any tips, pointers, warnings, advice of any kind is welcome, TIA.
