I have a 1996 4-stroke that stars fine and runs good all the way through the day. After about 8 hours of trolling it dies. I will get it restarted and running for ten minutes and it will die again. First I thought it was a gas problem with my fuel line. Its not. Any ideas. Could it just be from the carb being all clogged up over the years of trolling only.

Have you tried squeezing the primer bulb to keep it going?

yes, the primer ball stays hard it just dies. It does not die like its running out of gas, it just shuts off. I have no idea what it could be. Maybe it is overheating. what would cause that.
