Alright, I just picked up a headache for the winter. Please if anyone has info on this brand boat send it over this way! This boat has many problems but to start is the floor. It is springy and maybe consider it soft. I do not see any wood in the construction of this floor or on this boat at all. I can't find any signs of wood.. It has minor stress cracks on the floor meeting up to the gunnel wall.. Should I replace the whole floor?I have been reading many posts but mostly for boats with fiber and wood under.
I removed the console, and anything else on the floor. I have a clean playing ground. I was thinking about drilling some holes in different spots to check the stringers. I really am not sure how to approach this. I am in no rush to get this project done and want it done right. I really like the layout of this boat. It is a lot nicer then my past center consoles.
This boat has many other issues to tackle. It was a flood boat and there is minor damage to the undercarriage which I will easily be able to fix. The motor and wiring will be replaced with new. The gas tank is built in and is plastic. If i rip the floor up I will take the tank out and clean it up. The motor is shot and I will replace with a new one. The boat can handle up to 225 HP. Not sure what size I want yet.
Here is what the boat looks like right now. Any help or suggestions is appreciated. This is an exciting project for me. Can't wait to show off the before and after pictures.
