I have a pair of Evinrude (1996) 175 HP Ocean Pro's and their great...You might be thinking of the problem Evinrude had a few years ago with the Ficht fuel injection. That was a problem. Are you motors carburated? or new that 1999? Then you are OK. I'm sure you'll hear more on the subject.
