Hi again,

I have a 1996 Evinrude Intruder 115 hp. Last year I had trouble getting it to stay cranked at the boat ramp so I tinkered with the timing (has little sliders for low and high). I eventually got it to stay running, and it runs fine for the most part...just bogs down a little at one point in acceleration. What is the proper setting or method for adjusting the timing on this motor?

Thanks

Thanks. I may have to take it in for that one, it sounds like.

you should be at about 4 degrees ATDC at idle. sounds like you may need a good carb cleaning or something, I have a 1995 150 OIS that idles perfectly all day long. New set of Champion plugs can make a big difference also.
