1996 Excel Question

Hi everyone looking at getting my first boat, been out for awhile but ready to buy a used bowrider 18-19ft. I found a 1996 18ft Excel with 3.0 merc. Don't know to much about wellcraft, they seem to get good talkback. Anything I should be wary of. Haven't seen the boat yet found it on the net, and talked to the dealer were gonna set something up. Not sure on hours but the dealer is asking 6800 which seems very high to me I was thinking more like 5000. The NADA price is between 4 and 5000 depending on options. Any feed back appreciated.

it sounds like a very nice boat.... but it depends on what your going to be doing with it...

a 3.0l is not really designed for watersports, especially with a heavier boat like a wellcraft..

the boat in my sig has the 4.3l and it works very nice for me.
