Our 96 Wellcraft 21 Excel SX is sitting on the Ez Loader single axle trailer. It has surge brakes on the axle and is a torsion bar design. The brake lines have rusted and broken off at the Surge cylinder and at the axle distribution block. Is it feasible for me to rebuild the surge cylinder and run new lines? I do have the ability to do this, I just wonder about the cost vs benefit?

I would just replace the coupler. When I checked the repair parts where not all that much cheaper than a new coupler and you know everything is in working order. You can get a coupler from Champion for $130 and bolt it on. Brakes lines would add an additional $30 or so to the tab.

When you replace the brake likes, replace them with stainless steel lines.
