Hi, When I winterized my boat last fall it was running fine. Now it doesn't want to start. Turned over fine, but wouldn't start after multiple tries. Battery ran down so I charged it over night. Tried again today and starter is sluggish and can't
turn the flywheel. Checked battery voltage 12.6vdc. Originally thought stator, but now question the starter. Any suggestions appreciated.
Gas is fresh and bulb firms up.
Thanks, John

Sounds like your having the same problem I am, I just posted a topic on it too. I can get mine to start by squirting gas directly into the carbs, although this gets the engine going, it's not a permanent fix. Check your spark plugs, make sure your throttle is in neutral warmup.

I checked the starter connections and tightened the lugs. Engine will now turn over , but no start even with starting fluid. Have had a bad stator on a 1995 Force 70hp, but don't remember the ohm's check that showed it bad.
