You need to supply more info on this motor. Unfortunately 'running good' is a subjective situation.
You need to be able to determine the compression first all.
Second, is there a maintenance history? Hours? When was the last time the impeller was changed? How does it pump water? How does it perform in a 15-20 minute lake test?
With that determined and showing 'positive results' my guess is that the value should be between $800-$1200-ish.
