Read the top 4 posts in this forum.
One of them has the procedures for static timing.
This has the T-bolt ignition system. Hence, the static timing (cranking) should be set to 32 BTDC which translates to 30 BTDC dynamic.I think this is right??

Thanks for your help I will look for the posts. I'm still new here and I looked before I posted the question but I'll try looking again. If I have no luck I'll give 32 btdc static a try.

32 BTDC static is actually the correct timing setting which equates to 30 BTDC dynamic.

Thank alot guys! I set it to 32 static and it runs and starts better than ever.

Ok I'm a bone head, I posted this motor being a 1996 (which is a type o) it's actually a 1995. Is 32 btdc still the right static timing for this motor.
