New here.
I recently replaced the power head gasket along with others on the 1996 50hp Force. At the same time I rebuilt the carb and fuel pump.
It runs great with one exception, when the throttle on the Genisis 3000 is pushed to full throttle, the butterfly opens past 90° and the motor slows. I am going to guess I need to adjust the linkage, but do I do it at the carb end or at the throttle control?
Thanks for any help.

You do it at the carb, shorten the throttle rod that is connected at the tower shaft and throttle cam.

After this you may have to adjust the idle too and you do that at the idle screw at the tower shaft.
At the lower part of the shaft, the screw that rest against the block.

Top 4 posts in this forum have tips, procedures for your motor.
Read them and find the one called the "Link and Sync" that helps setup your linkage.

Made the adjustments per your suggestions. The carb is now spot on. Thank you for the information!
