My outboard runs perfect at low speeds high speeds are even idle speed but the last few times out i fished for awhile and was going to move spots the motor would flood are try to flood i would have to move the control to a fast start any ideas thanks again

So you use it, let it sit a while, then have a flooded condition when you try to restart it?

Buy a fuel pump rebuild kit from Mercury. Should come with instructions.
Pretty easy, $20.

What happens is the diaphram deteriorates and leaks, gas flows into the crankcase, result - flooded.
Might be tiny pin holes, or could be a bigger hole/tear.

Those diaphragms were not resistant to ethanol back then, so they deteriorated faster if you use ethanol gas.

The primer has a rubber diaphragm in it.
​It also goes bad after time.
​Try pinching off the line to the bottom of the carb after you do what roscoe suggested.

​Reeds can also go bad.
If the things already suggested don't work ???
​Pull the carb and check the reeds.
