Generally fires off on first start, then in about 5 seconds it quits. Next start attempt may fire off then quit in a couple seconds. May or may not fire off after that. May start with throttle nearly full forward, but that is not a good solution, sometimes then can high idle it at 2000 rpm til warms up.
If I can get it to start and warm up, then future starts are no problem the rest of the fishing day.
Have rebuilt the carbs, new opti sensor, new plugs. Have used local mechanics and they can't pinpoint the problem and I want to explore before attacking the powerpack... Thanks... Padrewallace :confused: null

Hello Wallace;
Here comes my 2 cents worth, I would check the sync and link set-up on this motor first.Do according to the manual, if you haven't got one it would worth your while to get one. By the way are you are you pushing in on the key while trying to start. The primer system only works when the engine is turning turning over and the key is pushed in.
