Had a dead battery. Tried to jump it with my trolling battery. Cable slipped and touch the wrong post just long enough to spark. Now tach is dead. Did the rectifier/regulator checks listed in the forums. I do have continuity in it just one way and other resistances seem correct. I pulled the wiring harness off the back of the tach. Purple to black 12.1v key on not running. At idle go up to about 12.3. At probably 1/3 throttle show low 13's at first and will hit 14 after about ten seconds. Gray to purple 0v key on not running, 3.6v at idle. Goes up to about 4v at 1/3 throttle. The tach is the model with the warning lights built in and none of those are working either. Based on those results I think my first step is to try a new tach. Thoughts?

Greg
