I hope someone can help us. We are new at boating.

We bought this boat last year, private sale. The serial number is OMCS8690J696 and the title says LOWE BOAT 1996 PLEASURE ALUMINUM 17? 9?. The guy we bought it from said it was deeper then most because it was used as a rescue or work boat by the Coast Guard or something like that...years ago.

I found that the first 3 letters stand for Outboard Marine Corporation (OMC). I guess in 1988 this company purchased Lowe.

I am trying to find a bimini for this boat but I do not know the Model number.
Most of the sites gives you several Lowe models to pick from when choosing your bimini but I do not know what model mine is.
thanks for your time

Usually you can order bimini's based on the width of the gunwhales, or wherever you are going to attach it.

Then, there is usually a range that one will work.

Thanks DeepV. That is what i am going to do. The beam is 80 inches and the length is 17' 9". I am going to order a bimini 54"tall x 8' long

One of the places I went (Hudson Marine in Salisbury MA) said I should go to a Lowe dealership to get an exact fit and the other place I went (West Marine in Seabrook NH) said the measurements would work, didnt need the model. WM gave me a price of $650 for a 54" high and 8' long bimini. I figured I would check on line to see if I could get it cheaper and the web sites kept asking for the model ....

I got mine at Cabelas. The sunbrella is an awesome fabric.
