Good morning to all!

I have tried TWO different Q Jets and have the same result. The engine will not stay running without a finger holding the choke fully closed. I am at my wits end. It ran last week on muffs fine for 10 minutes.

Change and inspect contents of filters. Don't forget the one in the carb were rhe fuel line goes in. If that dont do the trick check pressure from pump.

First off, retorque your intake manifold, then retorque your carb. Not overtorque, correct torque.
Start it and see if it's better. Were either of these carbs "known good" or were they questionable? Did you use a good base gasket?
If the carb should be OK then get some carburetor cleaner or even some compressed air and start shooing it in bursts at any spot where there could be a vacuum leak on the carburetor, carb base gasket, or intake manifold.
Highly unlikely that you got 2 broken carburetors, but I suppose it could happen.

If you don't have a bad vacuum leak I would next check your fuel pump pressure, should be 4 to 7 psi
