I just installed a new solenoid and ignition starter. I charged the battery overnight, then started and ran fine. I wanted to retest, so I shut it off. When I went to restart, the key did nothing - gauges didn't light/work (speedometer, etc) and no turn-over or anything. Without the key, the rest of the accessories work (fish finder, live well, horn, bilge, etc). The electric tilt doesn't work (either on the throttle or motor itself). I undid/redid the 6 connections on the starter and nothing. Does anyone know where the fuses are located on this boat? I checked under the dash & couldn't find a thing. Pics are helpful!

Welcome aboard,

What motor do you have? I would lean toward something getting jarred during the starter/solenoid replacement. Since the accessories work and only the TnT and starter are not working, the problem is in the back of the boat. Check/clean the battery connections to begin with.

Or the ignition switch itself.

Fuse for the motor, is on the motor.

Thanks for the quick replies! I have a 90 HP Mercury. I'll start with the battery connections, move back to the engine (fuse & solenoid) and then up to the starter (loose wires, etc). I was thinking loose wire too, but they are very tight. We'll see. Keep ya posted!

Figured it was back there. Thanks for the follow-up. :thumb: It doesn't happen enough.

Now go boating before the water gets hard. :D
