Hi Folks, I was out on the boat today and noticed that the boat was running a little hot. It never hit 175 but it was in running at around 165 according to the gauge. Fresh water cooled, no salt water and new manifolds and risers last year. Replaced the Impeller 2 years ago. does this sound like an impeller going out. Also replaced the thermostat and all hoses 2 years ago. Water flow out of the drive seems normal as well when on Muffs. Could it be a worn out impeller after only 2 years. Maybe 30 hours. In the past it has always ran around 150 with a 140 degree thermostat in place per the VP manual.

Yes, it could be the impeller, could also be the exhaust risers and/or manifolds starting to plug up. Especially if you boat in salt water.
