Motor was running fine till overheating buzzer went off. Engine seemed to
go into the limp home mode. But even after cooling off the engine misses..
Now motor still seems to overheat when running with water hose attached.
It has a good strong flow thru the pee hole. Any suggestions as what to
check?????

First thing to check would be compression.

If the pee stream is strong, then you have a restriction in engine I would think....I would pull the T-stats and look at 'em....if you have a way to heat 'em in water and measure temp(candy thermometer) see if they open BEFORE 130 deg....if you can't test 'em and they aren't new, replace them...pretty cheap. While they are pulled run the engine on hose and see what the water flow is out of tstat hole....but do what Ray said...you may have blown head gasket or worse if engine started missing when this happened....
