<br /><br />Sorry, you didn't make it a 15 with just a carb. That's one of those Old Mariner's Tales. What may have been true in the 50s doesn't necessarily apply to modern motors. There's usually more to it than that; like reed stops, exhaust tuning, ignition and port timing, etc. Watch those sparkplugs to make sure the motor isn't running too lean or too rich. Either condition can kill a motor. Jetting without a full conversion is going to be a crapshoot. So is propping. You may find that you actually have less power than before. It's a balancing act and just changing one of several factors does more to upset the balance than to juice-up the motor. It's all experimentation at this point and you're the Mad Scientist.
