Nobody knows all the answers and the person who knows the answer to your question probably isn't on line right now. Hang tight and you will get the correct answer. There is a wealth of knowledge on this forum.

They are helpful..

But the trick is to ^^^^^ Bump your post from time to time.
Otherwise when the people who know the answer log on, they will not see it.
Otherwise they need to search for it..
Which WONT happen.
I have had all my posts answered on here by being persistant (But not a pain in the !@##$%)
It might help if you start subject with make and year of motor.. (V6 225 efi is made by Merc, Mariner and Yamaha.) that way, similar owners will spot it.

been here done that!!
i did the samething when i first joined and at times still get a little impatient.
-
thinking that there are people that have nothing else better to do but sit & wait for me to ask a bunch of questions.
the info given here is out of kindness by alot of professionals & backyard boaters to be helpful.
-
if you are more specific and less judgemental it does help.
this is a great forum & the knowledge in the search engine is outstanding.
-
if you are in a rush and need quick answers, mite want to try the dealers or call the factory rep. ive had good luck there. <omc/bomb anyway>.
-
edit your post with more info.
1983 to 1997 (14 yrs) thats a big difference and alot of things changed.
