My 35 3 cyl Johnson will run 3-5 min at rpm around 2500 then it will cut out. It usually misses a cylender 10-20 sec before hand. At first I thought it was because the engine did get hot. I rebulit the water pump and now the engine no longer gets hot however it has not solved the cutting out issue. I replaced the Tstat also. I drained the gas and put fresh gas in. New spark plugs. I am getting the coils tested today and for the heck of it the power pack. I am lost for answers at this point other than the carborator. Also I put a Johnson brand oil in this year that is dark red in color. It is a oild injected engine could the oil have anything to do with it?
