This is a new boat to me, bought it and noticed the guage reading 12v while running the first time out. Replaced the rectifier, and batteries and then it jumped to about 12.8 while running. Never hit 13.0 or more. So the next time out the volt guage was slowely dropping into the 11.8v area. I have done almost every test I can do. I have one direction flow through the rectifier, the stator ohms out correclty according the manual, I unhooked all the battteries and ran new cables to another battery and still it wont charge. Can any one help please!!!!

Check connection on red wire from rectifier to terminal block and then from terminal block to start solenoid. I think that's how it's run although I don't have one to peak at at the moment.

Have you 12V on the rectifier/regulator's purple wire? This is necessary for it to work.

we were trying to...

Your issue is most likely isolated to the wireing now.Its time to isolate the individual wires, un hook at both ends, clean terminals and ohm check for a broken/damaged wire. Start with the red wire going to the terminal block. Or just throw some more parts at it.....

New update, so my stator is putting out 28 plus ac volts while running. Once I connect it to the power block it drops to 15 volts ac. I have a serious power draw while running. Not sure where to start besides ohm every wire. Any ideas

Is your Voltage gauge connected to the motor accessory wire, does it spring to life when you turn the key to ON, does it drop to zero when you turn the motor to OFF?
You have 2 batteries, do you have a 1, 2, BOTH, OFF switch installed?

I figured out that when I take the small red wire off the starter solenoid my ac volts come back up. That's the wire that goes over to the rectifier. Tonight I went though a lot of wires and diagrams and still no luck. My volt guage is hooked to ignition. So when I turn the key it springs up and then goes back down when the key is off. Yes I have that switch installed. Right now I oly have one battery installed to eliminate more electrical stuff.

Does it have a rectifier or a rectifier/regulator?
Got a model number?
