I own a 1997 evinrude spl 90. My problem is that something in the motor is causing a full battery to drain in less than 12 hours. The batterys(2) are brand new 1000 cca batteries and are being fully discharged within 12 hours. What on the motor could cause this. What can I check out. I already disconnected the accesories and the batteries still drained. Teh abtteries are fine because I tried 4 different batteries and had all the same effects.

One intersting find is that when the battery is hooked up to the motor the flywheels turns 2 -3 teeth on the flywheel without the starter being engaged. Its like as soon as it gets battery juice it the flywheel rotated about an inch on its own. Weird I know but the boat runs great. Can anybody help me please. The probelm is driving me and my battery charger nuts. Thanks alot

That's the right part.

Be sure that you dont have anything but the starter connected to the large post that runs to the starter from the solenoid.
