I have a 1997 Evinrude intruder 150 hp that won’t go WOT. I can get 4800 rpm at full trim. Hole shot is perfect and I can stay at 4800 rpm with no bogging. I’ve replaced stator, optical sensor, power pack, 2 coils, fuel pump (conversion rated for 150-225hp), spark plugs. Compression is 120 +/- 10 on all 6 hot or cold. Carbs have been cleaned and have new gaskets as well as 3 new plastic float bowls with no change in RPM from when I started to now. Prop is a 24P Raker. I’ve checked fuel tank and filters. If anyone has any advice I’d greatly appreciate it.

Did this just occur. Is this a rig that is new to you. If not, has anything been changed.

I accidentally posted this twice as I thought the first one didn’t post. I got the boat a little over a month ago and the first thing I did was swap the fuel pump and 3 of the 6 carb bowls due to warping. Along with carb cleaning for the others. In the other thread someone mentioned to check and make sure the high speed jets were not loose. Come to find out I never swapped them to the new bowl. I kept the old bowls and put them in the new ones last night. I’ll check today and see how it runs. I put new plugs in about a week ago. Before I posted this I took them out to do another compression test and noticed 2 plugs were black and sooty compared to the others which looks new still. Hoping that resolved my problem.
