REMOVED HOSE ON MY HIGH PSI PUMP NOT GETTING FUEL/REMOVED HIGH PSI PUMP HAVE FUEL IN CUP. CAN ANYONE TELL ME HOW THIS WORKS AND WHAT VOLT ARE COMING IN ON WIRES TO HIGH PSI PUMP WHEN ON
Get a service manual. The fuel system diagnostics is several pages long. It's complicated by the different fuel systems designs utilized over those early Ficht years. You could have hard fuel rails, different type of lift pump, different location of components.
I don't have the service manual in front of me. This is all from memory.
There are two fuel sides on a Ficht. One is a low-pressure (lift pump) and the other is the high-pressure fuel pump and vapour separator unit. When you turn the ignition key to ACC position, you should hear the lift pump. If you don't hear the lift pump, start there. It may be seized if it sat too long especially if there was any water contamination of the fuel.
If you start work on the high-pressure side, make sure you depressurize it (some models have shreider valves). And exercise caution when working on the fuel system (i.e. don't smoke, be in a well ventilated environment, etc).
Again, get a service manual. Also get the diagnostic cable/software kit. It will tell you if there are any error codes.
