1997 force 120 problems

1997 force 120 will not run on all 4 cylinders. Checked spark and have good gas. Second cylinder not firing all the time and 4th will miss occasionally as well. Ruled out plugs, wires, and cdm. Any ideas on if its the stator or trigger or reeds? how can I rule some of these out?

You said you checked sparks but did not specifically mentioned if the check was good on all four spark plugs or not. Have you checked compression?

I do have good compression I'll have to check tonight whether I'm getting good spark or not. I know the plugs are good as I changed them and swapped from a different cylinder. Thanks for the input

outboard ignition . com CDI ignition( http://www.cdielectronics.com/downl...guide/Force 4 Cylinder (Mercury Ignition).pdf ) will have some instruction on checking the electrical system.

Try swapping out the coils and see if it follows the coils.
How do you know it's not the CDM??

Plugs burning right?
Any water on them?

How did you figure out the #2 and #4 weren't right?

ANY INFO you can give will help???
