Good day.

Under the cowling of my OB there is a small screw that is linked to a small vertical rotor plate with a roller on it, which touches a large copper colored larger horizontal plate that turns upon turning the gas handle. What is the exact purpose of this ajustement screw ?

Thank you

It would change where the throttle position is at "rest". For better details from folks smarter than me, might be easiest to post a picture so they know for certain what they're talking about.

I beleve there is another ajustement screw just for that purpose ...it's on the right hand side (facing) just near the tiller handle. This one is on the left side facing the front of the motor and it's a very small screw on a plastic swivel roller.

If I understand you correctly, I believe the screw you are talking about opens and closes the throttle. That's how it is on my 1997 9.9 hp.

Ok had a look at a pic on internet, could not find the exact part ... the screw on a swivel roller does rest on a "cam trottle plate"
